someone in our organization should be complaining about the umps. horrible strikezone for the rookie ump. horrible call by the second base ump.

EJax pitched pretty well. Some ball calls were clearly strike, IE the fastball underneath neiwenwhatever's hands.

Yeah, I know there are formal complaints for huge, game-changing calls. Is there anyway to complain about a freak-job like tonight? It seemed incredibly uneven.

That would have been the Nats fourth run which became pretty much irrelevant when the Mets scored their fourth in the ninth.

Actually no.  Werth's triple would have scored LaRoche and there would have still only been one out.  Pelfrey was in trouble and that was the recipe for a big inning.  That play at 2nd changed the entire game, not to mention the atrocious calls by the home plate umpire, all game long, all going against us.

sure, but it's most likely not even relevant tonight. Not everyone in your line up is going to produce regardless.

bernadina has been on base, 2 times in 4 games.  2 times?

leftfield ... oh derosa doesn't have a hit ... and nady has one!  as a PINCH HITTER.

there's no excuses for gio gonzalez whatsoever.  tonight edwin jackson has every beef in the world with that result.  he had strike 3 and sitting in dugout before that homer.

100% correct

april, october, it's the same crap in my opinion.  a win is a win, a loss is a loss.  although we messed up a lot of times tonight, we got f'd over.

I'm not excusing it, I'm saying tonight it's not even relevant. We're stuck with them until Ankiel and Morse get back. nagging about two players that shouldn't have mattered if not for getting WHORED by the clown umps is just a waste of energy

OMG

I'm so pissed

i know ankiel is coming back the 14th and thank goodness (i guess), but i'd rather have corey brown out there for the next few days than roger bernadina.  can't believe i'm saying that.

Exactly. This win could be an important "season changer", just like every win. You need wins to actually mean something.

hammonds, you need to give that crap a rest or I'm going to give you a big fat shark avatar and a tagline to go with it.  Jesus christ, to hear you tell it Roger Bernadina is single-handedly responsible for losing these games.  Get the freak over it dude.

Ugh

I'm in a horrible mood and I've been a horrible bitter terrible poster tonight

Sorry all. I just find watching horrendous corrupt incompetent officiating in every sport harder and harder to take every day.

Good night all and sorry for all the sour notes

Everyone was all over the Red Sox for their September collapse last year, but don't forget they started something like 0-9.  A better start would have meant playoffs for them.  Even the games in April mean something...

I hate umpires as much as anybody but if you blame them for this loss you are dreaming. That is loser talk. This team did not deserve to win the game.

What's the old saying? You can't make the post season in April, but you can lose it in April ?

Something like that.

Whatever. This is nuts. There are 158 games left in the regular season I'm going to become clinically insane at this rate. Way too jacked up over 1 stupid game.

Sigh

Night all

The Os started something like 6-0 or 6-1 too.  Yankees 1st win was tonight.  Its a long season!

Of course I'm mad. I actually get mad at this game when there are game changing errors by the officials. I ream our players when its all their fault (Werth deserves most of it pretty much). But it's so unfair when the officials blow calls left and right. There's nothing in the game that can change what they do so it sucks.

lol @ Davey not even pronouncing neuwhatevers name

Justin Maxwell hit a pinch-hit HR for the Astros tonight.  They're about the beat the soon-to-be 0-4 Braves!

And Davey didn't mention the play at 2nd.   :?  I guess we're just supposed to pretend it didn't happen.
