bernadina has been on base, 2 times in 4 games.  2 times?

leftfield ... oh derosa doesn't have a hit ... and nady has one!  as a PINCH HITTER.

But Lombardozzi got a hit game 2 while in as a LF 8)

At least Atlanta is 0-4 and the Orioles finally lost. Nats need to win tomorrow at all costs. Get a lead early and put Clippard in the game in the 7th.

I hate umpires as much as anybody but if you blame them for this loss you are dreaming. That is loser talk. This team did not deserve to win the game.

No crap. Werth failing twice with RISP, Rodriguez and his control issues, and the players failing to get on base (Bernie and DeRosa mostly).

But you can't brush off a blown call at second base that gave us 2 outs instead of a 1 out which could have led to a rally or an early Pelfry exit.

I could see that, Mets starting 6-0. Besides a couple of fluke innings in Chicago we just are not playing very good baseball. No offense, mediocre pitching, and bad defense. Not encouraging.

What do the Orioles have to do with anything? They're in an entirely different league.

Bullcrap. I categorically reject the idea that requiring a certain level of competency from the employees of a mufti-billion dollar conglomerate is loser talk. The officiating tonight was UNACCEPTABLE

To just blow it off like it didn't matter or wasn't a factor is delusional. The fact that there is no way to know whether the umps cost the Nats the game or not is what is so precisely appalling about tonight's performance. Officials are suppose to REGULATE the game NOT IMPACT it.

I cannot stand that attitude. Maybe it's ok with you to get bent over by the umpires, but it will never be ok with me.

Ugh

My blood is boiling again.

I'd rather see Lombardozzi at LF than DeRosa.

who gives a crap about the AL.  people are posting about the red sox and yankees and orioles and crap ... who cares.  focus on the NL and especially NL East.  the nats are friggin 2-2 and let two winnable games get by them.

The O"s freaking suck and I love seeing them lose. I can't believe their stupid fans got excited that they won a few games against a Twins team that will be lucky not to lose 100+ games.

Marginal upgrade at best. We need Morse out there sooner rather than later. I wish Bernadina would start hitting more in CF but he's just not an every day option unfortunately (damn).

My ideal lineup with what we have:

Desmond
Lombo
Zimmerman
LaRoche
Espinosa
Ramos/Flores
Bernadina
Werth
Pitcher

No way, that call on 2nd changed the ENTIRE game. Nats have 4 runs, most likely 5 easy. Pelfrey is out, we're into the Mets pen much earlier. Maybe HRod doesn't even pitch the 9th. Changed the ENTIRE game.

No, you can't bank on the fact that the Nats would have gotten that fifth run.  They were  leaving runners on all night.

I don't think so, I heard they were going to bring him back on Thursday for the home opener

If you'd flipped the calls the Mets got tonight, the Nationals would have sewn up the game long before the 9th inning.

oh dude the o's are awful.  i think they lose 93-100 games this year, seriously.

but still they have nothing to do with the nats.

But my point: They're in an entirely different league. To say they lost to make us feel better is stupid because we're not in a race against them. You could've said that the Phillies lost again or something.

Mets, Nats, and Umps all had about 1/3 share of tonight's outcome.

You can't but you can at least say we would have had a better chance with a man on 2nd and 1 out instead of bases empty and 2 outs.
