Why aren't they sending the runner?

lefty hitter keeps hole open on rightside

We're going to set the record for K's this year.  I don't see how we avoid it.

I already said we'd strikeout 1,500 times this season in the predictions thread.

When you only have one hitter in your lineup, you don't want to risk taking the bat out of his hands when you get a man on base. ;)

Easily, we will shatter the record. This is laughable. The Ks with runners on base are already becoming infuriating and it's only the first game.

Should have stolen Desmond. If he gets thrown out, you still have 3-4-5 in the 9th.

Our 4-5 sucks though.

But LaRoche and Werth are #4 and #5.    :'(

It doesn't matter how hard Zim hits it here, we won't be able to score a run. With this awful wind we have to string three hits/baserunners together to score. :hang:

I'd be pissed at your harping on this subject if it weren't so damn true.

I thought a strike was a good out

I know I can be annoying, but the strikeouts are a real problem.  This is pathetic.

I thought a strike was a good out

Yeah.  The next time some stat geek tells me that strikeouts really aren't all that bad I'm sending blue to junkpunch them and give them a flagpole wedgie.

I am enjoying this so much right now. This is the type of karma that comes back to bite only when you show no utter respect for your fellow man.

Strikeouts aren't bad in most contexts. When you've got RISP < 2 outs, yes it does matter.
