Please send me your ballot with your Top 5 for each category. Nominations (via PM) are due by Monday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. EST. I'll then post a Top 10 to pick from for each category.

we should have a thread of the year and gameday thread of the year. the GD thread of the year could be like best action movie, while best thread of the year could be best picture of the year.

In all seriousness, people often quote a post and then put "Post of the Year nomination" or "PotY Nomination" or something like that. A search may reveal those.

That's how I handled POTY last year: I searched "Post of the Year" and "POTY" and omitted obviously sarcastic usages.

Why isn't the period defined as since the 2011 season started, given the fact we didn't start this thread in December or January ?

Nah, more like our Derrek Norris. Some powerful posts, a few swing and misses, then you get bundle off with 3 other hot shot posters in a trade to Fangraphs for Carson Cistulli. Then Dave Cameron will pipe in and say Cistulli impresses with his humor but is not a good bet going forward and we gave up too much.
