Saw Drive last night. I wish I hadn't. I'm okay with movie violence, but I wasn't okay with that.
It could be worse - you could have seen Irreversible. That said, Drive was my movie of the year last year.
I liked Drive. Ryan Gosling is one hell of an actor.
Maybe it's my prejudice from having only seen him in chick flicks I was forced to watch, but "Ryan Gosling" and "great actor" don't go together in my mind.
Nothing I saw in commercials or trailers for "Drive" make me think otherwise, either.
Remind me when Drive is out on netflix.
Watch "Half Nelson" and "Drive" and that'll change - he is a really, really good actor. My wife thought the same thing until she saw "Drive".
Saw "Take Shelter" last night after doing my best Ronnie Coleman impersonation at the gym. Really great movie.
