We saw Top Gun at the "RPX" theater in Kingstowne last night. Well worth it; arguably a better story than the original movie (though the original had a better soundtrack). I may have to find time to see it at Udvar-Hazy, perhaps on one of the two upcoming three-day weekends.

Curious whether anyone who has seen it was struck by the rather obvious Star Wars reference with regard to the mission. "It’ll be just like Beggar's Canyon back home."

Anyone watch Hustle on Netflix?  Generally enjoyable.  The Temple basketball references were great.  If only Kenny Smith had been the PG.  At one point Sandler wears a Temple sweatshirt with Johnson and Hardwick on it.  Two of the on campus dorms.

not yet, but it's on the list.  Two more episodes of the Lincoln Lawyer to go, then For All Mankind.

They’ll be a season two.

Not confirmed yet, but likely.

The only thing I don't like about the show is that there isn't a planet out there where Second Wife & Cisco are an item.

The actor playing Cisco is the weakest link in an otherwise really great show. Second wife deserves SO much better!

Mrs Natsie was getting enthused by the news that a book, she's recently read and enjoyed, has been made into a Hollywood film. I expressed surprise that Hollywood would make a film entitled 'Readings in Comparative Education'...After a deep breath, she advised that she meant 'Where The Crawdad's Sing', so I'll recommend it here... ;)

Was one of my last books for my bookclub that we read before covid put the kabosh on the club, we're all going to see it when it opens. I didn't love the book the way they all did but I'm still curious to see how it's adapted for the screen.

Think we need to ask T S Eliot about that... ;)

Wasn't the Chevy Chase Fletch a reboot? Nah, maybe not.

no, he was the original. Hamm mentioned there are something like 12 books in the "Fletch" series and they are planning on more films. This one bombed at the box office but got good reviews.

I hope Hamm had insurance on this.

I'm not sure what to expect from the movie. If they want to keep Ford in an action role, I'm not sure how well it'll work. I guess if you take the franchise's tendency to include Nazis, as well as Ford's age, the appropriate title might be 'Indiana Jones and the Wehrmacht's Wheelchair'

Be set in a senior home with Nazi nurses and Indiana leading the hunt for applesauce.
