A Wholefoods is going in @Navy Yard as well. That could come in handy for tailgating.
The hotels should do a booming business and be able to name their price. Being able to stay almost at the park will entice a lot of people.
Two new hotels hopefully means two new bars.
Unless you want to see other parts of the city during your trip
Sadly, I think a lot of people would probably only willingly travel around Chocolate City inside a tank.
I think there is a DMZ running from the Library of congress to M street in Georgetown. The more adventurous could even go up Connecticut ave through Dupont to the cathedral and zoo
Remember that map of the "safe parts of town" that got sent out to participants in Glenn Beck's rally? Basically NoVa with a narrow corridor across Memorial Bridge to the Mall. The rest of DC was apparently considered bandit country
