I can still play the solo and know all of the lyrics.  I'm totally down if you are.

I'll need to practice and get pretty hammered to make that happen, but hey, who knows. Maybe the Chief has some connections and get us on the field. Maybe we could be the Four Fatties as opposed to the Four Tenors

We could always do 1999. FWIW, the first song my wife and I ever danced to was Purple Rain as performed by The Reagan Years :P

We could be the Nats answer to the Marlins Manatees - the Washington Whales*.

*Obviously this goes away once we're both under 200lbs.

Or an answer to the Hogettes :D. Of course, once we're all svelte, we'll have to come up with a new gig.

He's looking for The Cross, hoping it's not a Sign o' the Times, and asking that you not ask about his Dirty Mind*.

*Yes, I'm a HUGE Prince fan.  Even played him in a tribute band.

:lmao:

You'd be the dumbest looking Prince ever.

Now, now, just because one is a foot and a half taller than Prince, half-white, and unable to grow facial hair shouldn't stop one from paying tribute to him.  Especially if you can sing in falsetto like him.

Jim Bowden Tweets---Rangers and Fielder meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel went extremely well & they can afford to sign Darvish and Fielder if they choose.

Of course they can. So can the Nats. The question is whether they are willing to spend and for five years (and counting) the answer has been NO, they are not willing to spend.

I expect him to sign with the Rangers for like 6/140. Then it will come out that we offered something like 6/160, but he wanted to play for a winner.

it'd be interesting (if PF signs with the Rangers) to see as he and pujols would be connected, even more so than now, for the next 6 years.

This whole thing needs to just end one way or the other. I can't stand all these reports.

  Why not just be patient and let it play out? It will go down eventually and hand wringing will not expedite the process.

How did Rangers mtg w/ Fielder become public? The confidential mtg @ Four Seasons was coincindentally where Joel Hanrahan was getting married

The Nats will only have theirselves to blame for not trying to build a winner earlier, then.

they had a chance to sign fielder weeks - hell months ago.  if they don't sign fielder it's on the lerners and only the lerners.
