It would be perfect for the Nats, which is why it won't happen.

I think we just found the new motto for the LoD.

Yes it is.

No schemes, no learning... just playing ball.

High priced teams usually win in MLB.

But bought teams usually don't .

I take it you are either from Texas or never been to Texas. Some people simply won't go there.

Dallas is one of the worst cities in the world. There. I said it.

I surrounded myself with rich ass white people all day long that I don't care for 'cause the man be payin' me a fat paycheque.  I doubt Prince gives a crap about that noise.

I'm glad it works so well when taken completely out of context.

Money being comparable, the only good reason for him to go to Texas is to be able to DH when he's ready. Yes, they are a better team right now but he is smart enough to think longterm, I would hope.

Why didn't we get a "BREAKING"when Fielder met with us???

One team is a contender that has shown an inclination to go after what it feels are its missing pieces to a champion.  The other has Natitude at its heart.

In addition to getting paid, Prince would be "embraced" in D.C. if you catch my drift.  ;)

Its a win-win situation.

Works well, especially if you like to fire people.

He would be the man here. He would be the sideman to Hamilton in Texas.

What does this mean?

If Prince signs for 6 years, I hope it's here.  If he doesn't sign here, it's not the end of the world.  LaRoche is not a bad fallback at all.

You are right.

Black friend of mine once said this about Dallas. "It's every black man's worst nightmare....it's full of white trash with money."

I bet that applies to Houston too.

Long term the Rangers are likely to be just as good as the Nats are.

You probably have a point but that being equal, and if the money is equal too, why the hell would anyone chose Dallas over DC? Again, I think the DH thing would be the only reason, and they might give him a longer contract because of it too.

The Rangers aren't in great long term shape?

Houston has all the evils of Dallas but in addition it is unbearably hot and humid in the summer with stagnant disguisting air.  Not that the Dallas climate or air is any good, but it's better than Houston's.

Only place in Texas I have ever enjoyed is San Antonio.

Sometimes - Prince wouldn't go to Baltimore even if they were paying more.

If he decides to go to Texas for less than he'd come to DC, then fine.  They can't make him come here.  They can't offer some amount that doesn't make sense based on the payroll level (even if people disagree on what that payroll level should be).

We won't be as good with LaRoche as we would be with Fielder, but it's not like LaRoche is terrible.  He's been almost as good a hitter as Zim over his career.

They are, but I think things are looking up here too. If you are putting pros and cons on piece of paper (in Fielder's case, it would a dinner napkin) I would call that a tie.

Because if money is equal, and long term is equal, what to do about the fact that they are currently a world series level team?  Plus an awesome stadium for a slugger.
