Its okay. By mid June I expect him to be hitting like .230/.285/.310 again Lombardozzi will take his job. Good at bats will follow as well great infield defense

You'd have to.  At least, in the long term.  I can't imagine them going with an OF of Morse, Werth and Harper for more than a year.

They won't do that outfield. I'd like to think they'd trade Morse after this year if we DID get Fielder. That way we can trade Morse for some decent prospects to replace the ones we lost for Gio and then we can sign a Bourne/Victorino/Upton for a few years and have Goodwin (hopefully) take their place.

I could see us trying to flip Morse to Toronto, Baltimore or Texas if we sign Fielder. I don't see Rizzo planning on using Morse in LF long-term and his value may never be higher. If we can snag a CF or even get some good prospects to help flip for a CF, then it might be a solid plan of action all-around.

One of their guys (either Pollin or Thom- they sound alike to me) wants to pass, move Zimm to first and call up Rendon this year because he's as old as Zimm was when he was called up, and a better hitting prospect therefore he's ready

I haven't gotten into the whole "if they sign Fielder they can't/won't extend Zimm" stuff.  Because I believe they can afford to do both.  But if they add another high priced free agent (CF) and extend Zimm, you're talking 4 players whose average combined salary is ~$20 mill each.  I can't see them doing that.

I don't know how high priced a high priced centerfielder will be. I doubt Upton or Bourn would bring in what Werth, Fielder, or Zim will get. Maybe Victorino but I think he goes back to the Phillies at a discount like Rollins did.

Meh ... more of the same really, host (and most callers) feel the same way we do. They want Fielder at 5 years, maybe 6 max, after that ... yeah not so much

Figure at least $15 mill for Bourn or Upton.  $17 for Werth.  $20 for Zimm.  $25 for Fielder.

That's an average of $19.25 mill per player.  $77 mill a year for four players.

Then Strasburg comes up for arbitration or extension...
