True dat  ...  :)

Another thing I was wondering was whether I would use the thing or put it on display.  Normally a bottle opener isn't something to put up on the mantle, but even at $88 I'm sure this piece of junk would break after the first couple of six packs.

May I suggest twist off caps.   :)   Of course, if you took to the rum, it wouldn't be an issue.

I'm about to hit the 5,000 post mark, if you guys want to pool your cash and pick up a little something, this is it.  For just $85, game used Washington Nationals memorabilia:

$85? LOL.

If it was cheap, I might pick one up and pretend to whiff on the beer bottle when I had people over.

The Nats Secret Society isn't much of a secret anymore, oh well it wasn't like Sarah Michelle Geller was kissing Selma Blair anyway.

You guys may laugh, but Tokens and Icons makes excellent authentic game used memorabilia products. I picked up a pair of their cufflinks made from seats at RFK Stadium. Though RFK will eventually be torn down, I will always have my own little piece of DC sports history.

Don't think I'd get the bottle opener though.

The Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres and Pittsburgh Pirates are N.L. clubs without a graduation situation.

In simpler terms, the Nats don't have a single college grad on their team.  They'd fit right in with Gary Williams' old teams.

I'd be concerned if we were organizing a cardiology department.

Sure, doesn't take brains to bash a baseball, no wonder accountants drool over getting their hooks in these guys, skim off a major chunk of change until the player is broke and then move on to the next sucker with a seven figure salary.

Seems like a bit of a slant on that article if you ask me.  I wonder how the complexion of his numbers change if you start factoring in players that completed 2-3 years of college before jumping to the show.

This.  RZ spent 3 years at UVA.  I'm sure there are others but I think the point is made.

The team is running out of Nats bloggers that they can count on to promote the team's agenda so they are now inviting randoms to blogger night.  Somewhere close by a scorned blogger is smiling at this.

First Nats official Tweet-up, judging by the responses so far there looking at bringing in up to a couple dozen Tweeters.

For those involved in the Twitter community, tweet-ups have become a fun way for those who interact in the space and share interests to meet in person. To us, there is no better place to meet than the ballpark, and so, the Ignite Your NATITUDE Tweet-up (#IYNT) was born.

#IYNT will take place before and during the Nationals July 3 contest vs. the San Francisco Giants. To attend the event, we encourage fans to RSVP via Twitter using the hashtag #IYNT. Seat location for the event will not be released until the tickets actually go on sale on June 22, but the more people that RSVP, the better everyone’s seats will be! We’ll have great giveaways leading up to and during the event, as well as a bunch of others perks that we’ll tell you about as the date approaches. Read on for more details, and we hope you’ll join us for this exciting social media event!
