My girlfriend's mother is a Cubs fan and she is very smart.  That said, imagine being on the other side of this series.  Had to be incredibly frustrating for the Cubs fans and players.

At this point, it's not about the wins/losses... where they actually probably want to lose for better picks.

It's about watching the development of Rizzo and Jackson and Vitters.

LOL are you kidding? Who are you talking to? Nats lost THREE HUNDRED GAMES in 3 years ... of course I can imagine being on the other side of this.

Nobody felt sorry for us. We were a national punching bag. Mocked by EVERYONE

I am not going to waste one second of my time feeling sorry for anyone else, particularly the impossibly bushleague asshat Cubs and their delusional cult-like insufferable fan base

They have a pretty comfortable lead on the Rockies for the 2nd pick, and the Astros are just so horrendous I don't think anyone can catch them.

But you still don't want to be outscored 31-9 in a four game series.  Regardless of circumstance that was a tough series to go through for anyone who is at all competitive and on the Cubs side

Not justifying their shenanigans.  I'm only pointing out that losing can sometimes bring out the worst in competitive people and these losses were horrifically bad for the Cubs by any measurement.

Thought I saw a graphic on tv the other day that the astros didn't have a player on the active roster making over a million.   Can that possibly be true?   If so, they literally are a aaa team.

Really?  There are times to brush it off and times to stand up for yourself.  This was definitely the latter.

i know they shouldn't, but they undoubtedly will due to the fact that people look for things to get mad at bryce over.

Their behavior was inexcusable. Don't want to get slaughtered, play like you give a crap. Can't stand what I watched tonight. This is not little league. Worst part is, it could have cost the Nats an injury or a suspension. For what? Because you can't stand losing like a nag?

It was just pathetic.

Whatever, thank God we don't have to play them anymore and I'm not going to let their horsecrap ruin what has been a great homestand so far.

Exactly.  Don't worry about it.  They're the losers.  Let them act like sore losers if they want.  On to the next.

Funny...didn't see Soriano in those scrums.  He was probably on the phone with Schwab.

Can anyone here read lips?

"Really? F***ing really?"

(I know he says really twice and I'm sort of guessing on the second word. Someone else should give it a go)

Cubs announcers think the reason Nats are hitting so well is because Bo Porter was stealing signs

LOLOLOLOL
I don't know if Bo was stealing signs, but if he was, the Cubs need to make them harder to steal...

I don't know how the announcers could possibly watch what they did and think it was because the Nats were stealing signs.  Good Gawd - seriously? That's delusional

Yeah - Pretty sure it's because the Nats are good and you suck

Might have posted this before, but here are some awesome Cubs jokes;

My favorite:

What did Jesus say to the Cubs last time he was on Earth?
Don’t do anything ’til I get back.

Or, as Sean Casey said, make better pitches.  They couldn't even execute the intentional hitting of Harper.

There is no way Bo Porter was "stealing signs" from the third base box off a major league catcher.

I'd add in the fact that a right handed batter was up and a couple other problems with that scenario but it doesn't matter. MLB catchers are not incompetent. The Nats could have been stealing signs somehow, but it would not have been Bo Porter.

Like it would matter?

It just blows my mind that the Cubs announcers actually think that there must be something hinky going on if a team lights up their pitchers -

yeah, it's because you suck

From IMS

My boy (Cubs fan) was sitting right behind the Cubs dugout when HOF Bo walked over to the railing.

His words, verbatim: "don't yell at me. We'll stop playing when you start playing. We'll stop playing when you start playing."

That is just impossibly great - Bo knows Natitude

In the Nats' current 8-1 streak they have failed to score at least 8 runs only twice.  They won both of those games.

Cubs supporters = Braves supporters (both supporter bases generated largely through superstation telly) minus the relatively recent post-season appearances.
