So Strasburg gets what? 70 pitches tonight?

I'm coming around to thinking that it actually will happen tonight.  Maybe not at 7:00, but I think that they will get it in one way or another.  The NWS has eased their rain forecast a little, and judging from the radar, there is at least a temporary break coming.

why do we keep doubting the power of strasburg?

Try your luck guessing the YNOT Final 6 games quiz in The Clubhouse section.  Deadline: First pitch tonight's game.

Rain may hold off until 9:00 PM or 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM, or none at all.

I'm seeing forecasts of FOG.  What would that do to a baseball game?

This is one of the dumbest things I've heard from Davey. The rehab really takes two years or so. That's why he will be on an an innings limit next year.

I would not let him pitch more than 90-100 pitches until well into next year. Davey sometimes likes to pop off to see if anyone is listening. He would be a great WNFF poster now that I think of it.:~)

He won't be on an innings limit because of the injury.  It's because he hasn't thrown that many innings in his life.  Everything I've heard, here, media, both local and national is that if he's made it this far, it's not a question of whether or not he's recovered.  If he gets hurt again it won't be because he throws 90-100 pitches tonight.  It's more about conditioning than it is rehab.

I'm sure Davey isn't going to let him throw 120 pitches tonight. He's just saying that he'll still start Strassy if there's a rain delay.

If they say full velocity doesn't return until 18 months to two years, how can we consider his rehab over after 12 months.

I'm super careful. I don't think you're ever back until you have15-20 starts in the majors.

By the time they let these guys toss 100+ pitches, we'll be on another 2 year plan and it'll be 2015.

I'm not a beefcake guy.  :)      It's why I wanna go see the Billy Beane movie.    Costas interviewed him and he says there's more to it than "beefcake".
