BTW, Slaten wasn't bad today. He induced 2 weak grounders. That's about all you can ask of him. Sometimes they just go where the defense isn't.
don't read this as me saying he's been good this year or I want him back, but he wasn't bad today.
Then why didn't Davey leave him in long enough for Clippard to get properly warmed up?
