[re-printed from last GDT]

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 72nd win, each season:

2005 - 5th September (138th match of season)
2011 - 18th September (151st match)
2007 - 26th September (159th match - one win left)
[2006 - finished 71-91]
[2010 - finished 69-93]
[2008 - finished 59-102]
[2009 - finished 59-103]

Two more wins and this year's edition clinches the record for best Nats team since the '05 Overachievers...it has already clinched the record for best Nats Park-based Nationals team ever.

Is there any particular reason we are fielding our worst possible team?

Well, at least they are doing this game one and I'll be at work.

BTW, tonight will be my first time watching Milone pitch. I've had conflicts every single time he's started.

The worst line up would have Bixler for either Espi or Des. And we could have had Cora inserted someplace (pun intended)

So, we're going to lose the first game, by design PLUS lose against Cliff Lee tonight?

A smart manager puts his eggs in the first game basket then puts this lineup out for the second game where the chances of winning are much less.  >:(

:lmao: Two ex-Nats Pete Orr and Michael Martinez who will be sure to own us.

It's a "lull them into a sense of security by giving them a 10 run lead by the 4th, and then proceed to lose 18-1" lineup.

what kind of a crap lineup is this.
