I wore a hooded raincoat to walk my dogs and the shadow cast by the street light on the sidewalk looked like the minifig Vega hooked up for me.  :lmao:

Lego Ladson might be the funniest thing yet. So tempted to use that avatar.

Finished a new series. I'll post it tomorrow, but here are two new things now.

Linty battling Ladson in Mount Doom. Or the planet from Star Wars ROTS. Or the Genesis planet right before it blows up. Or hell. Who knows.

Epic orchestral music is needed for that scene... Nah. Let there be metal.

Also, I wasn't very happy with Spider's LEGO avatar, so here's one that is a bit more fitting.

The last time I saw Lord Beatlebum was in the elevator to the 7th floor media center at Nats Park.  Mrs. de Sade asked when we got off "what was Randy Jackson doing at the park today?"

Read this and you'll see what I'm referring to.

Well, the only thing I was referring to was all the white "lego" brothers pictures I saw on the Board that Vega made....and I was being sarcastic, just joking around, ...because Vega did a fantastic job. However,  I would never overlook or omit any "bro or sista" on purpose.
Speaking of ...Hey Vega, you got any brown or black cats, or black leopards, in your lego inventory?  Could you make an avatar out of that, for me? And maybe a cat/leopard with a crazy grin, or crazy eyes, or huge teeth? That would be so omnious......  :mg:

Time to document some of the adventures of the omnipotent Chief and his trusty chauffeur Nathan.

Nathan and the Chief are going on a leisurely walk around the country when...

... Suddenly, bandit knights attack!

Nathan whips out his bone axe, but the Chief tells him to stand aside.

Nathan is puzzled by this, to which the Chief replies...

"nag please. I'm the Chief."

The bandit knights have the Chief surrounded.

But unbeknownst to them, the Chief has them right where he wants them.

Suddenly epic magics start to happen.

Then a giant snake made of stone!

The Chief proceeds to whup ass Final Fantasy summoned creature style.

After the screaming stops, Nathan returns to see what has happened.

They're all dead, of course.

It is unwise to mess with the Chief.

On the way back home, they're stopped by two aliens who want to do some serious probing of a creature as powerful as the Chief.

Normally, the Chief would just disintegrate them, but he's in a good mood after whupping ass with the snake, so he decides to toy with the aliens. First he turns their phaser in to a giant carrot.

Then, he turns their spaceship in to a windmill.

Finally, he turns the aliens in to rats.

Then he loled.

Is there some sort reptilian connection between The Chief and the Snake?  And does this mean The Chief is related to the Lizard King, Mr. Mojo Risin'?

I do not own any such pieces, but it wouldn't be difficult to acquire one. You have two options. First, you could be this normal black cat.

Or, you could be this giant biped tiger. Your choice.

No relation. The stone snake happened to be the only large monster I had at my disposal, so I used it. Also, since the snake is supposed to be made of stone, I guess that makes it a... Solid Snake. 8)

Sorry for the delay on the review of the Medieval Market Village. I currently do not have a background big enough for it. I'll review when I can. As far as what I actually have been doing, I've mostly been making background characters; fellow adventurers, civilians, soldiers, and the like. In video game terms, NPCs. I also have begun construction on a Medieval Market Village style building based on the classic Castle set 6067/10000 Guarded Inn.

It's been surprisingly easy thus far, however, I've taken a break so I can reassemble what I am about to show you. First, some appropriate musical accompaniment.

That's better. Now, let me tell you of one of the best LEGO themes of all time. In 2005, LEGO released something truly brilliant. It's a non-traditional Castle theme in the mold of Ninja, but it eclipsed the Castle theme of the time (KK2.) with ease. This theme was simply called Vikings.

I remember when the reports of these being released first started coming in. That weekend, I went to Toys R Us and bought all of them. (With the exception of the last two. Those were released the next year. I bought them too.) Vikings was a LEGO Shop and Toys R Us exclusive theme for some reason. I guess LEGO didn't think it would sell well. I don't know if it did or not, but I remember it being universally praised at the time.

As far as the sets themselves, they're mostly big, badass war machines that came with oodles of vikings and a Bionicle/normal LEGO fusion mythical beastie to fight. There isn't any story like KK2, but really, do vikings need a story? I don't think so. They rape, pillage, battle beasties, and drink. Unfortunately, there was no village set to rape and pillage, but the Medieval Market Village has changed that. The prices were excellent on these. The fortress, for example, had 1019 pieces, yet it only cost $70, which is considerably less than the traditional $1 per every 10 pieces ratio. The minifigs were marvelous also. They came with many useful weapons and parts, and each set came with lots of minifigs, which was odd for the usually minifig-stingy LEGO. I quite liked stylized set design with it's unusual reliance on Bionicle parts. It was very unique and worked quite well.

Tonight, I'm going to pump some Amon Amarth in to my ears and rebuild all of these. Expect to see these strapping Norsemen in my picture series soon.

If anyone is looking to get some LEGOs, here are two very useful websites. First is Brickset.com, the best LEGO database on the Web. If you're trying to identify a set you had as a kid, it's the site for you.

http://brickset.com/

And second is Bricklink.com, a website dedicated exclusively to buying and selling LEGOs and LEGO-related stuff.

Not yet. I've been having difficulty finding a head that will work for you. I've got an idea that I haven't tried yet that will probably work, so I might have yours up tomorrow. The process of trying to make yours did result in something though. Totally accidental and total horrific.

It's LEGO Beiber! Here he is torturing citizens of the WNFF world; making their ears bleed with his "music".

Fortunately, there is a certain individual who'd like a moment with him.

VEGA -  Last night I ran across, in the digital premiere section, of the 'On Demand" Movies, on cable, a Lego movie having to do with warriors and alien planets, (Can't think of the name right now), and it seemed to just come out as a digital release -Have you seen it or know about it?

There have actually been several LEGO movies. I'd guess that you saw the Hero Factory movie. Hero Factory is the new buildable action figure theme that replaced Bionicle last year. I bought two and promptly gave them to Goodwill. Not really my thing. I've seen the first three Bionicle movies, which were varying degrees of mediocre, but I have not seen nor plan to see any of the other LEGO movies.
