not to put a damper on things, but Peacock's post-game interview was a bit odd, he just talked about well he pitched.  No mention of the defense behind him.  Hopefully he's just nervous.

Hmmm ya thats def. not what your supposed to say but I don't really mind it (and I don't remember any defensive play of any difficulty while he was pitching, except maybe Morse making a "good-looking" running catch which would have been routine for most LFers).  Like you say he was probably a little nervous.

Nice win Nats!

Go ahead and take it.  Didn't realize it was a day game, that would be tough for me.  I'll just do Saturday.

2007 - 24th September (157th match)
2006 - 26th September (157th match)

Further interesting bit - the Nats are an incredible 14-7 all-time in final away series at the Mets, whether at Shea or at Schiti Field:

2005 - 3W-0L
2006 - 3W-1L
2007 - 3W-0L
2008 - 0W-2L
2009 - 1W-2L
2010 - 1W-2L
2011 - 3W-0L with one match left

I know you didn't.  I was releasing it to him if he wanted it.
