Cheap Lerner doesn't want any competition set up outside his front door.

Interesting. I am trying to imagine walking to the park without the constant chirp of "tickets".

Half Street has gotten to be like a third world port, between the ticket touts and the beggars on the one hand, and the frolicking gringos in the Bullpen on the other.

Is there a reason we always seem to play 4-gamers against the Rockies and D'backs?  You'd think MLB would cycle that kind of thing.

The scalpers all seemed to have the legal game figured out by asking to buy tickets from everyone walking by, but I guess they must have sold to some undercover cops.  Probably the team demanded a crack down with the Strasburg debut coming up during the next homestand.

I wonder if the food vendors were affected.  When the park opened, everyone's favorite miser insisted that the city not approve any pushcart licences in the blocks around the ballpark, but the city issued them anyway.

Scrooge hates food trucks.  Which is too bad, seeing as the ones parked in Lot 8 before DC United games are cheap and consistently good.  Oh, and you can buy a 24 oz beer for $5.

The food "vendors" sell opened bottles of water that they fill at the taps. The hats and shirts are all bootleg.  The scalpers are annoying as hell. this is good new.

It's probably a bit intimidating to ma and pa from Fort Tobaccy.  I deal with pushy panhandlers all the time, and a couple of those guys outside the metro still manage to get on my nerves.

I am guessing they are burned out from the work week; although many of them do festivals and events on the weekends. Heck they do Truckeroo at the Bullpen but only when the Nats are out of town. Strange not to see them at actual games.

there used to be an organic mexican truck right outside. The Korean taco truck is awesome and I haven't had the cupcakes from the truck yet. Why don't they get good licensed vendors out there?

I wonder how the D-bags play on wet grass?  It's obviously never an issue at home.

The half smokes at the pushcarts are just as good as the overpriced/overrated ones from Ben's.

What's really irritating is the way the touts form a phalanx across the street and almost dare you to go through them (it was like that back in RFK days too).

Hope the food/drink carts aren't affected - I'll usually buy a $1 bottle of water before an afternoon match.

The best half smokes around are in the Home Depot parking lot on RI Ave.

I recall and liked the organic Mexican one although it is probably the worst Mexican food truck in the city. I haven't seen the Korean truck at the park but have tried a couple different ones elsewhere. I wish Fjul brothers or some of the others would show up.
