And wow how disappointing are the Reds? Considering where they were last year. I don't live too far from Cincinnati and mostly in Reds country, and many though this year they'd be much better than last year. In fact last year when they were making their run many fans thought that they would've faded last year because this year was "the year" that it all came together in Cincy.

I don't remember Wang as a strikeout pitcher. (Will have to look that up...I'm lazy, though)

OK...I checked. In each of CMS's fine seasons, he struck out 75 and 100...average about 3/9 and 5/9. Not a strikeout pitcher.

his K rate seemed to increase every season until he reached 6 in his last season in NY.

like I mentioned a page back, he doesn't have to strike out 2 an inning, but counting on a seven inning outing where he has that many balls in play is asking for trouble. Would be nice to see 3-4 strikeouts over 7IP to mitigate some of that risk
