We won't really know for sure what's going on for 30 minutes, or if Clippard is suddenly pulled or Storen doesn't pitch the 9th.  But it looks like no trade was made.

You just naged about Storen now you're nagging about picking up no one?!?

Do you read your own post? Or do you just subject the rest of us to them.

He also said, he didn't want to get NOBODY - just that he didn't want to trade STOREN.  Do you read all of his posts?

It would not be the first time a deal wasn't announced until after the deadline. for a late, good deal...

Worst trade deadline day/week I can ever remember.

What a boring ass day.

The Nats stand pat with their last place team

Just FYI, there's a really good game on right now.  The Nats are winning 2-1 in the 8th, Clippard just dominated the Mets in the top-half and Storen is pitching the 9th.  If you can't enjoy a game like this, it's your loss.  Find another team to root for.

Any chance of a waiver wire pickup?

We say the same thing about you.

Just because you're happy Storen wasn't traded doesn't mean Rizzo didn't fail at his job.

Then it sounds like cherry picking - which is what you accuse him of.

Davey is not going to be happy about this. I wonder if he is going to be able to control his emotions during the post-game interview.

So Rizzo didn't pull the trigger on what some considered a bad trade. Does that vindicate Rizzo in their eyes?

The team isn't going to contend anyway so I say not really.  We may trade AWAY a piece but not pick anyone up.

Eh the Twins led him on.

If he didn't have freaking tunnel vision, he could have looked to the Astros and gotten Bourn for peanuts

This is because he is a SUCKASS GM

He always sets his sights on one player and misses opportunities at obtaining someone comparable at a better price :bang:
