The first doubleswitch GDT

 :lmao:RIGGLEMAN LIVES ON!!

No problem - I looked to see if a GDT was started too.  Hardly anyone showed up in the thread last night until 10 pm.

Jerry Hairston Jr has played in 2 games since the All Star Game and has a homer in EACH game... but he's leading off!

If he's going to homer again, someone else should lead off.  Someone who can get on base.

Here's the thing - he aint gonna hit that many more homers, it's not his game. However, if he is a streaky hitter, I can buy that. That could be do to focus, self-confidence, a million other scientific ideas. But unless he took super-roids, I wouldn't bet on more homers.

You do know that Hairston holds the second half season record for Washington Nationals hitters that played LF and CF during a game while hitting a Grand Slam vs a Dodger pitcher on Friday night road game where the pitcher's last name starts with G is an ex-Minnesota Twin.  A record that I doubt will be broken soon.

Why start this game so late???  Every other game has already started/finished (except Cleveland-Chicago in rain delay)

There's no reason for this to be the only 10:00 start on a Saturday.

Watching Gorz pitch is torture for me.  I always feel like the next pitch is going to be a bomb.

Getting tuned in for tonight's game. Sailor Jerry rum and Diet Coke tonight. If it's below 85 out, I might even jump in the hot tub for a bit.

I've seen them 473 times and I'd like to see them 573 more. I got a NoFX cd for my 13th birthday and never looked back.

Agreed.  That describes a lot of pitchers in the history of this franchise. :hang:
