It seems that Gorzo has done this all year.  It's worked for the most part.  He's gonna get smashed a few games, but I'm ok with him as our 5th starter.

Starlin Castro and Ian Desmond have near identical WARs.

What?

Starlin is considered an all-star based on average and nothing else imo

You have to use fangraphs, BR WAR is flawed by their own admission, if I recall.  It's been discussed by folk around here before, I forget what the explanation was.

Yeah.. I'm still learning about these advanced stats but BR has Starlin and Desmond around 0.6 while fangraphs has Starlin at nearly 2 and Desmond at 0.1, lol.

Don't know how there can be such a discrepancy.

"At Wrigley, that would have been nine rows back.    Wrigley is ... cozy."

Left-Center is only nine feet deeper at Nationals Park than at Wrigley.

Huge difference, ain't it Carp?

Jesus Christ I am glad you aren't a baseball manager. Can you imagine how over worked your bullpen would be?

Not sure about that, I think the gotcha with BR WAR was for pitchers, but I don't really remember, someone more familiar with the situation will have to chime in.

Please take advantage of this.  The good teams in this league make teams pay for errors.

All of Espinosa's steals are superior to all of Bernadina's steals
