Skole hit a walkoff 3 run shot down 2 last night.  His bat has been solid in the last month, hope its a good sign.

Surprised it took him this long to get going. I didn't think TJ surgery would affect a hitter like this.

I guess they've close to given up on the idea that he could play 3d.  51 games at 1st, 9 at 3d this year.  Too bad because I think they will want a lefty power 3d baseman (or 2d) next year so the Face of the Franchise 1.0 can play 1st.

They could always leave Zimmerman in the Nationals home for wayward sluggers (LF) and let Skole take over for LaRoche in 2016.

Skole beginning to hit. Harrisburg problem seems to be pitching except for Cole. They just got a 6-foot-8 lefty relief pitcher. Bryan Harper could be interesting.

He's been hitting for two months now - .284/.379/.503 since April 28 over 47 games - but it's been masked by his horrendous first 20 games where he hit .149/.222/.189.

Harper is fun to watch, i'd love to see him pitch alongside Balestar some day.

It will be interesting to see if the gamble by leaving him off the 40 man will work. I think he maybe passed on the Rule 5 draft and does that mean we can sign him to a minor league contact with a ST invite or do we still retain his rights regardless?

we still retain his rights.  He's not a minor league free agent.  That takes 6+ seasons, I'm pretty sure.

He plays third and is breathing. Someone will select him. He sucks though, so who cares?

I don't think so. They have to keep him for the full season and I can't recall us losing anyone in the Rule 5 for more than a partial season . Oooops the guy who was claimed by Philly.

I feel like Michael Martinez might have been lost to the Phillies if that's who you meant.
