He is a big kid At 6"4 230LB's who plays 3B but many think he can slide over to 1B, since he's blocked by Zimmerman and possibly Rendon.

He has been tearing it up so far in Single-A Auburn. Hitting .313/.371/.422 in 16 Games in auburn with 5 Doubles, and 1 Triple.(14 Game Hit-Streak).

I think we found a real steal in this guy, he could rise fast in our system.

I think we got a steal too. I would'nt be surprised if his DUI was the reason he fell to the 5th round. He should've been a 3rd round pick.

He was rated the second best 3 baseman next to Rendon mostly through draft process.

He's a dumbcrap for the DUI but he's also a kid - playing in the Miracle League is likely more reflective of him as a man. I think it's one of the greatest charities around. I like his chances and it seems he can really hit.

He's slugging .422, not .525.

I still like him, just needs to show more pop. 0 HRs in 64 ABs

Not really worried about that , the guy has tons of power. Its just a matter of time before they start showing up.

http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/top-15-prospects-lists-a-teaser/

Skole misses the Fangraphs top 15 for the system, but gets a write up in the "just missed"  teaser they reelased.

Quote
YEAR IN REVIEW: In short-season ball, Skole had a solid debut by hitting for both average (.290) and gap power (23 doubles in 272 at-bats). He also showed a good eye at the plate with a walk rate of 13.2%. The left-handed hitter will have to improve against southpaws (.581 OPS) if he’s going to continue to play every day. His defense was inconsistent at third base and he needs to improve on his foot work.

Rest of the write up points out how tied his future is to the fate of RZ and Rendon.  The write up suggests a future as either trade bait and/ or conversion to first base.

Bump
Hitting .370/.463/.630 with 3 HRs so far this year in Hagerstown. Very nice.
also this:
ScoutingtheSAL: #Nationals Matt Skole looks at least 20 lbs lighter than his #GeorgiaTech days. Might have been a top-3 round pick at this weight.

If he can continue his hot start, a mid-May or early June would seem possible, though the tendency during the Rizzo regime has been midseason promotions.  Not that I would have a problem with that, I'm not a fan of promoting guys based off of a hot streak.  Let's see what his stats are after ~150 PA (currently @ 72).
