They actually showed video highlights of last night's game!  PhilWood says that baseball writers and broadcasters hang out with each other before games.  Phil says he hangs out with the scouts. He's learned much more from them, since most of them have played or coached the game at some point.

Today's Nationals game is on Fox at 4:05 pm
Radio with Charlie Slowes & Dave Jageler on 106.7 FM, 1500 AM
.  The Orioles game is also on Fox in the Balimore area.

Sounds like they should call it the Phil and Sal of Leesburg Show.

First time I've seen this show.  WTF is up with the blurry in-focus out-of-focus stuff going on?

I think I've seen better high school productions.  This is the definition of a low-budget show.

this. it's a radio show with cameras there. phil's references to players of lomg ago get old a times but wallace is worth a listen.

Nats Talk is followed by "Wall to Wall Baseball", which is a simulcast of the Orioles version of the show, which is also broadcast on ESPN radio in Balim0re.  So yes, it is a call-in radio show.  The alternative would be non-stop ESPN News or Orioles coverage.

If more Nationals fans call in or email, we might be less likely to have to listen to Saul from Leesburg and Ed from wherever call in every single week.  (I think Saul calls before the show starts, so that they will have at least one person to put on the air.)

If younger people call in, we may be less likely to have discussions about "whether a pitcher apologized to a batter for hitting him... in a game played in 1970" (43 years ago.)

Ha, I loved this part.  His response was great.  The dumbfounded look on his face was priceless.

Somebody from WNFF needs to call in or email this show with a question, so we don't:
1. Hear from Sal or Ed... every single week.
2. Don't have a show dominated by callers in their 70'-80s asking about events from the 1950s-1970s.

Mike Wallace NOT the late CBS reporter).  He was a mediocre MLB relief pitcher and apparently a coach.  Just as FP Santangelo was not particularly accomplished as an MLB batter.

They're now referring to Sal as their "usual leadoff caller."  Sal essentially just told us that he didn't see last night's PH homer "because his wife had a more pleasant thing for him to do this morning..."  (I.E., he was getting laid.)
 :minigunz:

PLEASE call in, and use your WNFF user name (so we know you're from here).  This is OUR team's show and they've got almost 2 hours to fill.  I emailed a question about lineups already!

He's on every week and the shtick doesn't change.   He seems to see himself as a charming genius.
