Pitchers count on their defense to make routine plays though.

Actually looking at the stats they only charged him with 2 ER. So Marquis only gave up 2 in 6 innings.

How he looks is really irrelevant is it not? Doesn't it only matter how many runs end up on the board? So in that sense, he actually had a good outing.

I remember he used to look gassed after that run back when he was trimmer. Imagine what he feels like now after an extra 30 lbs.
