I take it the Red Sux aren't playing tonight?
King Felix, Ackley, Justin Smoak, Bedard, and there young pitcher that's doing pretty decent.
Also, Death to Flying Things! We get both Bedard and King Felix, along with Doug Fister.
They are, against the Pads. Updates every five frickin minutes in the middle of this Yankees game.
Whether we win or lose, Pineda is fun to watch at work.
sounds like there could be some trouble getting in some of these games due to threat of rain
NationalsPR Nationals PR#Nationals lineup vs. #Mariners - Werth 9, Bernadina 8, Zim 5, Nix 7, Morse 3, Espinosa 4, Ramos 2, Hernandez 1, Desmond 6
That's the best lineup we have. No excuse not to win tonight even with Livo on the mound.Seattle's active roster is batting .370/.407/.605 off of Livo in 81 ABs.
Seattle isn't garbage... neither is Fister. You can't just say, no excuse not to win... and make it be so.
He's been such a loser lately. Disgraceful giving up 3 hits against that terrible Cards lineup. Lucky for him the game ended after 9 innings because for sure he was starting to tire and once again it would have fallen to the bullpen in the 12th or 13th to try to salvage the game.
Fister has given up 3 or 4 earned runs in all of his last 5 his starts. This is a career minor leaguer who has a career 12-26 record in the Majors. He is a backend #5 SP at very best. Someone that we should be able to beat up on.
Bad pitchers are capable of spectacular displays of pitching even against good offenses, which the Nats don't really have. You can never "guarantee" a win.
