When I had my wisdom teeth pulled I didn't do crap for five days, and even then it was just going to work and not eating anything good. He can take another week for all I care, that crap sucks.

Had my wisdom teeth pulled on a Friday, played in a softball game on Sunday, went 3/4 with a double and a triple in the middle of summer in New Orleans.

We don't play that high arching crap, we play overhand pitch, knuckles, curves, and just enough heat to make a glove pop. Rendon is soft and weak

:)

never had wisdom teeth taken out, but other various mouth surgeries ... it's not something you want to play with when you're feeling groggy.  also, a lot of guys have other various dental problems throughout the season, they miss a couple games here and there.

so this is nothing to worry about.   just hope he gets better and then he'll be out there soon.

Tony Beasley to tutor Rendon at 2b in Syracuse.
I wonder how long it will take before he is here.

I'm not a fan of this move. Rendon has a long history of ankle injuries. 2Bman are susceptible to ankle injury. Seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Um, seems intuitive but do we really have any such evidence?  Running bases might be a bigger risk.

I almost asked the same thing and declined.  The only thing I could even make up was people sliding into 2nd to break up double plays?  Otherwise I don't see what 2B do that other IF don't.

This is great news. Sometime after the All Star Break, we call him up, and play him at 2nd base. By mid-September, he's hitting 2nd with Werth hitting 5th.

played 2nd.

Seems like maybe Rizzo is thinking the same thing many of us are thinking?

Looked good in his opportunities last night.

Would love if they bite the bullet and call him up Tuesday.

ain't happening, Hammonds.

Karns pitches today and is sent down if Werth is activated on Tuesday.  They plan on Det and / or Stras making a start next Saturday.  If it is Det and not Stras, they'll swap active roster spots.  Otherwise, the next positional move will be when Harper is back.
