There's a video on youtube showing CBS' broadcast of the Vietnam draft lottery. Can't imagine being draft age and watching that live.

It was a freaky, scary time.

I was weighing my options with Canada a possibility if the usual college deferment fell through.

But there was a possibility I'd have a medical deferment because of my leg. (I was sick for a year with Osteomyelitis - Mickey Mantle's disease.)
