Two bad teams, two bad LH pitchers.

If the Nats have any balls at all they will sweep the series.

I look for Lannan to not make it out of the third.

I haven't been impressed with how he's pitched this year at all. I'd much rather see someone from the Minors unless he turns it around quick.

At least we can be thankful that we didn't go into the season with him penciled in as our #1 guy.  He's a 4-5 who give you a 4.5 ish ERA most years.  He is what he is.

Except besides last year he never had a 4.5ish ERA.

He had a sub-4.00 ERA in both 2009 and 2008 pitching the whole season in each. Pretty remarkable, wish we could get that Lannan back. He was a good pitcher back then. Threw strikes, got a ton of groundballs, pitched into the 7th a lot.

Why do I have a feeling I'm going to want to do the Electric Slide after this game?

Why?  Gary Thorne and similar folks do the same thing.

Mark Lerner is leading off in that lineup.

You say stuff like this almost at the start of every series. It's like you set the standard super high so the Nats are bound to fall short of it no matter what happens.

Sweeping a team that's 10 games under .500 on your home turf is a super high standard? Coming off that atrocious road trip too when we need this wins badly?

How about, also! I don't think most people wear their championship rings around for fun.
