LaRoche just got his 25th walk in 2011... the only thing he does well at the plate. Pitchers wrongly assume that because he isn't hitting that he'll swing at anything. His OBP was .288 before the game,. with a .172 BA, all because of the walks.

That said, they should have let Marquis bat instead of LaRoche.
