38 HRs 291 avg 116 RBIs.

Does Soriano get more or less?

I think less.

Pretty good numbers for Ramirez. No reservations regarding him really like: Can't hit anywhere but lead off.

Ramirez is 28. Soriano is 30. Nearly Identical OPS. Soriano steals 40 more bases

Ramirez plays 3B (dont really know with what quality)
Soriano plays a lack luster LF

One thing is for sure, 7 years 119 mil is out of the question

Ramirez took a bit of a hometown discount, but how much we don't know. But you're right, this is bad news for Soriano and other big slugging free agents. Sheffield is not available anymore, either.

Yeah, it was definetly a hometown discount. Even Ramirez himself mentioned the fact that he would demand less to stay in Chicago.

This doesnt sound all too concrete, but I think the Nats could get in that ball park. Its reassuring nonetheless. Its not like that 7 year 119 mil figure is being thrown around
