On the second homer, two outfielders (Lou Piniella and Mickey Rivers) collided and knocked each other out.

Lou was an energetic OF, but not all that slick. I still don't know how he made The Play in the '78 playoff with Boston.

SF's quote? I still see it.

Click through to the original post - I can't see it. It says the post isn't available to me or something.

Dang...we teed off on Vazquez the first time through, but now we're back to being the old offensively-challenged Nats.

And maybe some big ball-parks. I think there were years when more inside-the -park HRs were hit at Griffith Stadoium that over-the-wall HRs.

I have a 1956 "The Vest Pocket Encyclopedia of Baseball" ... Griffith was 401 to right center.   Checked Forbes and Polo Grounds .... Forbes was 457' to LC and the Polo was 450' to RC.    Yankee Stadium before the monument rope off was 466' to Center.

Werth gets too close to the wall on those plays.

Yeah, he needs to learn how to play the wall. That's twice this series..

Charlie thinks Marquis should be our DH during interleague play.

That would be better than some of the DHs Riggs penciled in last season.  Willie Harris?   I'm still pissed about that one.

Nice, Roger. Another great chance for Danny Espinosa to ease out of his nosedive.
