Time to make a move with Slaten. It's one thing to get beaten on good pitches. He has just been awful getting behind batters all season.

That was true a month ago.  Why would they do it now?  I just think we're stuck with Doug Slaten.

Glad I'm staring at FORTRAN code and listening to Bob and FP try to spin this crapshow into something golden instead of watching it.

Where do you find FORTRAN?

Bring up Kimball or Balester please, I don't care that they aren't lefties.

Slaten has been so bad it's kind of unbelievable

Slaten was drafted by Rizzo. He'll get unlimited shots.

It's part of a project I'm consulting on for a client.  It's pretty much giving me nightmares.

It is.

Then I'm sure you won't be offended if I observe that you often come across as rather arrogant and condescending.  Nothing personal, just an observation.

You can't deny how beefy and athletic he is though.  It's raining men.  Hallelujah.

Everything about that inning was wrong. Giving away an out to play for 1 run. Relying on bench players to bat in place of guys who are already batting regularly in games, burning better defenders, allowing a guy to try and steal 3B. Amazing.

Pretty horrible managing.

I'd feel a lot better about our chances if we were still only down 1.
