Ponce de Leon at Rochester yesterday - 5IP, 3H, 2R, 2ER, 1BB, 7K, HR

I can't wait to see this guy find his way to the majors

There was a time where Ponce De Leon was a major prospect for the Cardinals and then he just sorta burned out. There is simply no way he is a worse option than Anibal Sanchez.

Might be worth keeping an eye on LHP Lucas Knowles. 24 year old 14th round draft pick in 2019. Currently pitching as a starter in Wilmington.

So far this season: 8 starts, 65.2 IP, 4-1, 2.88 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 68Ks, 20BBs, opponents batting just .207 off of him.

Might be heading to Harrisburg before long.

looks good except no House.

Agreed. Still believe in his talent though. Never good to lose developmental time, but hopefully that situation remediates itself and he's able to begin anew next season.

Might be time to start paying attention to catcher Onix Vega, now at Wilmington, just 23 years old, .294   .420   .833 this year with 3 SBs and 3HRs. In five August games he's posted .476 /.542 /.619.  20th round draft pick in 2018

More walks than strikeouts on the season. Love that.

Baseball America says the Nats are the favorite to sign SS Edwin Solano out of the DR.  Here's a video, can't find much else about him:

I haven't seen if there will be an instructional league yet, usually those kick-off in late September. Several Nats were in West Palm before the hurricane, including Rutledge, Hassell, Green, Wood, and Susana but MASN reported that the instructs were ended just before Ian hit Florida.

No word on Brady House.

Cavalli as pitcher of the year is kind of damning by faint praise, right? Maybe the buy a vowel reliever deserved it, but Cavalli went in a top 50 prospect and came out about the same. No big improvement from anyone, no unreal eras, etc...
