Starting Rodriguez every other game appears to be the plan. It would be nice to see Ramos for a FULL SERIES, though. I think his 23 year old legs can handle three consecutive days of squatting.

Minimizing the damage would have been holding the Pirates to -1 runs. That way, we could win with zero.

Earlier in the broadcast Bob said that the lack of offense was "unexpected." What???? Coming into the year, we had 3 proven, good hitters: Werth, Zimmerman, and LaRoche (who doesn't get good until August). Other than that, we had a .308 OBP Desmond, rookies Espinosa and Ramos, Pudge, Morse (not proven), Ankiel...why would the terrible offense be unexpected???
