Nice pitch. Balester has the tools to be successful and can be a great compliment to Storen-Clip-Burnett. He features an awesome curve to go along with a nice mid 90s heather which is a different look than any of those 3 guys.

Pujols is really starting to get annoying thinking every solid hit is a no doubter.  Can't say it isn't funny watching that pose at the plate then realizing it's not a HR though  :mg:

This.

He could cure cancer and I would still hate the way he struts out of the box.  Not that he's unique in that regard, unfortuantely.

I'm sure the one walk will give Riggs and Rizzo "reason" to send Bally back down. Meanwhile, ole' Gas Can keeps "earning" a paycheck.

Somebody promise me we won't see Gaudin on the mound in a Nats uni again.  I don't care if it's true, I just want to hear it.

Are the Nationals really paying Jayson Werth $126,000,000 for his defense cuz that what it seems like?

Outside of zimmerman/strasburg, balester has been my favorite nats/expos prospect to make it to the majors (that was actually on the farm for a while - and for good reason seeing how he was a kid).

Good to see him in the bigs.

31.5 million per RBI (the most important stat of all :mg: )

Bally just needs to command his fastball and he will be fine.

No, they are paying Werth 126M so that they can say they spent money. Werth is a sold player. Not his fault the Lerners put themselves in a situation that they needed to overpay. They can afford it.

shut the freak up, FP.

Werth is not getting the job done. It would be one thing if he was getting paid like Ankiel but he's making a crap load more.

It's like FP has a producer in his ear saying, "ok, FP, now say something good about Werth!"

He's in game 17 of 1134 (at least) during his contact.

He's been okay but he can do better. We need him to do better. He says he wants to turn us into a winner, he needs to start hitting the baseball.
