Why are the calling timeouts if their QB is afraid to throw the ball?

I get their strategy now. Pray for a pass interference and a field goal attempt.  :lmao:

Neither team is good enough to beat the Patriots.

What if the Niners onside kicked it and recovered, could they go for a FG or would they need a TD?

They'd have to score a TD.

Any overtime except for tacking on extra quarters is really bad.

Truth is, this year there is no team that played a full year of all around, well executed football.  The 49ers have trouble scoring, the Giants were awful for stretches, the Pats played without a defense for about a dozen games, Pittsburgh had its injuries, NO and GB were all O, Baltimore had a poorly designed offense even if the tools were there, Ravens fell apart when Shaub went down.   Even some of those McNair Titans teams from 2003 - 2005 would have stomped on these teams.

It's looking that way. Giants are going to hit something here soon if they keep getting chances.
