It's not "hate".   It's his Cardinal bias which is understandable.   I guess the adage "where you stand depends or where you sit" is in play.   His natural "excitement" is with the Cardinals.    His Nats' "excitement" seems ... almost ... forced.   It's like all of a sudden he remembers who's paying him.

I don't know about you but he didn't seem all excited when rasmus and pujouls hit their share of HR's.

This is wear having Flores up here instead of another relief pitcher really hurts us. I wonder if Rizzo is second guessing that now.

It could be from where I view it but even his closing comment was going to be about the St. Louis player who hadn't hit a walkoff HR.   FP stopped him with, "Let's talk about it in the 2nd game."   I guess my perspective is who cares if he never hit a walkoff HR.   As a Nats' announcer, my take would be how do we get this guy out?   Of course, that would make me Dibble.   LOL

Nats win. Last 10 outs from Clippard, Burnett, Storen. I believe Joey Eischen is available for the nightcap.

For a guy who was just brought over from Boston, Adam Kilgore has an impressive memory for Nationals history.

lol

that's why I like Kilgore

The problem is that basically anyone else we were realistically going to call up would force us to DFA someone from the 40 man.

Riggs said this morning on XM that you need a guy like Flores to get 5 AB's every day... and yet he sits the dude 100% of the time.

Either play him, or tell Rizzo to ship him out for a player you can use.

I sweat as I grilled the steaks for my supper while listening to the Nats nearly blow it.

Has anyone found video of Ian Desmond stealing home?  I was hoping it would be one of the featured videos on mlb.com....
