In good news, Pudge gets to start tomorrow and we take out the only hitter that reached base twice tonight.

Yea, that is getting old. When your offense is struggling, you don't need to be platooning your hottest hitter. Shhheeesh...

Desmond needs to sit for a few days.

let Espinosa play SS.

I don't see why they are so afraid to not put Espinosa at SS.

I don't think they want to give up on Desmond just yet.

Who plays 2B?  Cora?  His bat is no better.

Pitching barely improved.

Defense hasn't changed.

Offense got worse.

good job, Rizzo. I'm sorry that I stuck up for you so much.
SP is incredibly better. And that's what this game is all about. If we keep getting that, the hitting will come around. The defense is a concern though. That's supposed to be there every night, no?

I don't think its that they are afraid. I think its that we don't have anyone else.

We should have kept Alberto Gonzalez.

...and it's really sad that that is a truth/possibility.

It has nothing to do with espi playing ss.

He's made errors too.  I agree desmond needs to sit a night.

Or at least try espi @ leadoff.

Sunshine!  SUNSHINE!!!
Hey, we all need to get out of the sun every once in a while or we get burned.

But, really, it's about trying to take a balanced look at this team. I have to admit I overcompensate for the Bummer Brigade.

They are going to do this at least 4 or 5 more times this season. They've never had Lee and Halliday on the team before.

It was if you looked at it the right way.

It does help to have the best right handed and left handed starter in the game, doesn't?

Is there any chance Laynce Nix could handle batting lead-off?

At this point there needs be a line-up shake-up.  Someone needs to be demoted immediately.  Desmond, Hairston, Morse...pick one!

Is that agreement or disagreement?  Obviously something is not working (and yes I am aware the Z-man is hurt).

It was a good game to watch if you were a baseball fan, period. If you are looking at it from a Nats fan's perspective, tonight we saw one of our young SP show flashes of brilliance and that was enjoyable for me. The score sucked but you win some and you lose some.
