Look at the bright (sunshiny) side, it's a great opportunity for Bwodewick to get some wook.

Some are. He did great last year and spring training. Trying to be patient, personally.

After his spring and despite the fact that I put little credence in ST stats, I have been trying this approach.  Personally, I have never thought much of him, and now the league has really been exploiting his troubles at identifying breaking pitches and even changeups.  It reminds me of some of the problems that Elijah Dukes had *at the plate*.  Hopefully he pulls it together, but time is running out quick on the Morse experiment.

Yeah, the first one had more prominent funeral organ, though, I love that sound.

This series is going to "leave a mark" for the remainder of this season series.
How many more games vs Halladay/Lee? Each one is a guaranteed loss. Hamels too

Broderick was dominant.:~)

Man, that boy looks shaky on that mound. It's been a while since I've seen an MLB pitcher look so unsteady on the mound.

He's had the stuffing beat out of him all season, he'll be alright.

The only things that are guaranteed are death, taxes, and obnoxius Philly fans.

Positives tonight?  Zimmermann and detwiler were outstanding.  Bernadina too.

But two of those dudes are in the minors.

Oh well I've vented enough.  Let's get narveson who is better than SF gives him credit for.

I'm not buying that business that the word is out on how to pitch to Morse.  He went through a bad slump last year mid-season, then came roaring back.  I see no evidence that he's just been figured out.  Rather he just seems to have hit another of those slumps, and now is losing confidence a bit.  Clearly he's struggling when we could really use him back on his game.

oh well.

I thought Morse would be good.

I was wrong.

Fire Rizzo, bring back Willingham.

Yeah, still standing by that the trade with Willingham was really dumb.

I don't see what Morse's problem could be. He has shown every year in his career that he can hit. The ST he was raking (even if it was against minor league pitchers). Then when his time comes, he craps the bed. I just don't understand. Some of me still believes this is just baseball and that he is going through one of the worst slumps ever but the other is wanting to cut him loose already.

We do have to remember that Zimmerman never used to be an April player. Then again, he never had a really bad April has a lot of these guys are having.

He certainly has sucked so far. Wow, even the Sunshine Squad sees some clouds every once in a while.

He is unproven as a starter and has a REALLY long swing. Never felt right about him even after the hot spring and his part time stats from last year. Hope I'm wrong though. He is our starting LF you know.
I agree with you he is the starting LF for the Washington Nationals.  In fact I hope he is the best starting LF in all of baseball for the Washington Nationals....in fact I hope he is the best starting LF in the history of baseball while playing for the Washington Nationals.
