It looked like LaRoche made zero effort to make a play on that ball that went right by him.

Yuck.

The Phillies offense has to come down to earth at some point. Their lineup isn't intimidating at all but they've been producing huge so far this year.

It's not his fault, he was having one of his mental episodes probably.

Random bums put on a Philly uniform and instantly become studs. See: Placido Polanco, Wilson Valdez, Carlos Ruiz, etc.

The team breeds winning. The anti-Nats

Maybe RZ should sign with them.

Laughable. This team is toast. Just when you start to feel positive they go down the crapter again and get embarrassed.

It doesn't matter how many more runs the Phillies score, Riggleman!  You could have had Storen walk Howard if you didn't want him to face him.

Phillies playing small ball?

1st in average, 4th in slugging, 1st in OBP. Nothing small ball about that.

A lot of them are playing over their heads.

If you don't like seeing Ryan Howard strike out, then you need to check your pulse if you are a Nats fan.

the philly lineup without utley and werth isn't dominant and Lee is beatable. The negativity comes from the disappointing number of outs and runs given away. The Nats are an improved team and can be competitive. This was a winnable game and would be different but for the number of unearned runs

They're bound to come back to earth at some point.  It looks like, with Lee's performance tonight, their pitching is coming together.  If their offense keeps up, they will simply dominate.

That was a pretty long inning.  Maybe Lee has cooled off a bit.
