Did anybody interview Stairs today/last night?  If not, are the beat reporters just asleep on the job or is he refusing interviews?  One would think he'd be an interview target, after last night's "performance".

Do we have an "Ask Bob" thread to ask Carpenter questions?  I ran into him and he said we did.

The MLB Board does.

I don't believe Carp looks at this board.

On the MLB.com forums they do. Obviously that's what he was talking about, as he doesn't even come to this forum.

Is there a reason?

They are interviewing him now, and Ray night is singing his praises.

Bad, bad timing.

How can it be a relief, Ray?   They did a get-to-know-you interview with Stairs BEFORE last night's game.  They just showed part of it and Ray Knight said it's a "relief" for Riggleman to have someone on the bench like Stairs...for situations like last night's against Halladay.  >:(

Matt Stairs on getting to the fastball: "I always figured my first swing is for the fans so I always swing real hard. Then I make the adjustments".  :lmao:

Would have been great if he gave one to the fans last night.

Ray Knight was wearing a gray jacket and a pink tie so it's not from tonight.

He was asked how he became a power hitter and said he learned it from McGwire and Canseco.  :lmao:

In other words, nobody interviewed Matt Stairs about last night.  INEXCUSABLE!
