...and the two pitchers seem to be rounding into form after early injuries.
I think that's a bit of a stretch. McGeary was terrible before his injury and he's only pitched 8 innings in the Gulf Coast since his return. Smoker is a failed starter with extreme control issues in A ball.

Antonelli is having the better year in AAA between the two.

Lombo - .320/.359/.432/.791

Considering he is finally healthy after years of injuries, I give him a pass on the AAAA label.

Agree with this - he's fought injuries for the past couple of seasons.  He could be another late bloomer.  Though the Nats playing Lombo at 2B and Antonelli at 3B might indicate that they see Antonelli as a utility guy.  No huge complaints with that - he's probably an upgrade over Bixler and if he's any more than a utility guy, he'll get every opportunity to win a job next spring training.

There's an iPhone app now for MILB AAA. Wish it included all of minors though

I don't know a ton about him but a few national writers have written that his stuff screams 'reliever.'  Not that this is a terrible thing.  We already have Stras, JZ, and Lannan as legit starters plus our pick of Gorzy, Detwiler, and probably LIvo for the 5th spot.  We can go out and sign someone like Edwin Jackson to be our #3/4 starter and stick Peacock in the pen along with Clip and Storen as another shutdown reliever.

It would be great if Peacock makes it as a starter but if he can be another Clippard, that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

Peacock has the stuff and temperament to be a good reliever. I believe the Nationals will give him a shot as a starter first but if his secondary stuff doesn't play as well, he could become a good bridge to Clippard/Storen (and eventually replace one of those guys, if necessary)

The "Oldest First Base Coach in Minor League Baseball," Art Silber was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, in the shadow of Ebbets Field. As a child he would walk his boyhood idol, Jackie Robinson, through the players' entrance of his hometown ballpark. Today Silber wears No. 42 in honor of Robinson. As someone who wore the number prior to its retirement, Silber is one of only two people in all of professional baseball who are permitted to wear it.

Silber retired at age 55 as President/CEO of Sterling Bank in Baltimore, Maryland, and has been the team owner since 1990. Silber's two children, Lani and Seth, serve as team president and treasurer.

Any love for Estarlin Martinez who is tearing up the GCL at 19 years old?

.313 BA with 7 Doubles, 4 Triples, 6 HRs, 10 SBs, 2 CS in 160 ABs with a 27 BB to 29 K ratio.

What's the book on this guy? I have heard nothing about him but those numbers are impressive.
