im gonna disagree with you on that one imref. I have a man crush on Ankiel, but I would be thrilled to see him get called up for Stairs.

I actually think we should trade Laynce Nix to a contender. While he's been solid, he's missed a ton of time in his career, and he's not a long term piece anyway. If we can get some decent value, you could go with Marrero at first and Morse-Ankiel/Berny-Werth in the OF.

Give marrero 5-6 starts a week @ 1B, morse the others and then LF and 3B

Morse at 3rd? I dunno... I mean, I know he was an SS before, but still, I don't think that's a great idea.

he has limited experience there but takes ground balls there all the time.

i still think it could work if he gets 3 starts in LF, 2 @ 1B and maybe one @ 3B.

Well, the Chiefs lost and Marrero didn't play at all. Hopefully he was on a plane heading to National Airport...as if...

Also, this was a Detwiler start and, knowing that someone had just been called up from Syr., someone who stinks, he went 6IP, 7H, 4R, 4ER, 3BB, 5SO, 1HR. His ERA actually got a little worse, now sitting at 5.80.

On a brighter note, Michael Aubrey (playing first for Marrero) went 2 for 3, scoring twice and a walk. His BA is up to .290.

Well, the AA teams can actually hit the ball with RISP!

The Senators had runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs. Stephen King (not the author) strikes out, not good. Next batter up walks, loading the bases with one out. Next up the one and only Steve Lombardozzi singles, driving in two.

Lombardozzi is my favorite hitter in the system behind Harper. Local kid, great discipline...just wish the front office would wake up and see this kid as a legitimate piece instead of Ian "sucks" Desmond

Tyler Moore hit his 9th HR and is now batting .288. He's also been getting a few more walks recently. Poised for another surge reminiscient of last year?

This guy looks like a slugging first baseman with plenty of pop. 1B of the future?

My bad, but it does seem like he's been getting on base more lately.

Still he's been pretty good despite the jump to AA.

The AA Harrisburg Senators just completed a 5 game sweep of Bowie and have won 8 games in a row.

Talking about walks ... Potomacs 1B Steven Souza had 4 of them today. Which is great because. potmac as a team only had 1hit.

Tyler Moore isn't the first baseman of the future. The only guy in the organization who could be is Marrero, and even he's iffy.

So if he starts hitting with a .1200 OPS again, he's not the 1B of the future? While he's definitely not a lock, and maybe hasn't earned the title but then, who has?), if he can restore last year's form, he definitely might be called the 1B of the future.

I don't care how much power he has.

It's hard to succeed at the higher levels with that type of ratio.

He has much more power than Marrero.

Marrero had a .800 OPS in AA last year. Moore has a .856 in OPS this year despite a really cold start to the season.

Moore is a few years older but that is pretty irrelevant in this regard.
