Is it something one could park nearby somewhat easily to do, or was it mobbed

We parked on 12th last night and on Constitution on Thursday.  There is a ton Of traffic but plenty of parking in garages or on nearby streets. I’d go early.

Landing anniversary today. Some of the garbage they left at Tranquilty has my Dad's diodes and transistors in it.

There’s a light gathering experiment that’s still operational.

Where's the best place to stand to see the movie?

Went to the 9:30 showing and then to the museum afterward.   Great stuff.  Hard to believe it's been 50 years.

pretty cool look at the making of the Washington Monument show.  Organizers expected 25,000 attendees, the event over 2 nights drew around half a million.

neat.  I think I'm out of luck viewing across the Potomac because of the hills in Anacostia.  I was thinking I could see this from Gravelly Point.  I wonder if there's enough clearance up by the Air Force Memorial to get a good view.  I'm sure there's no problem hanging out shortly before sunrise in a public park in Arlington!

the hits keep coming for Boeing, their Starliner spacecraft failed to reach proper orbit to dock with the ISS.  This launch was scheduled as the final test before they would take astronauts onboard next year.

I suppose Major Tom will be the first to fly with them.

I just hope they don't find a hidden error correction software package that wasn't known about by the flight controllers.

NASA and Boeing say a mis-set timer was the culprit, so once again a single point of failure.  Sigh....

Looks like the SpaceX launch today was successful?  Watched it on NASA TV and then we looked outside here in Orlando.  SIL said he could see the last one from the backyard.  Unfortunately it was partly cloudy today and all we saw was a white line climbing up through the clouds. Will have to catch one of these live at the beach when we have the chance.  They only seem to give four hour windows so it could be a long day.

Anyone have any suggestions for watching live? Jetty Park seems like a good option.

January 28, 1986 the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded shortly after takeoff killing all crew members.
