btw, the Rays' announcers call of the game was so pathetic. Not nearly enough enthusiasm
Agreed. Total indifference.

Are you talking about their radio guys?  If so, I agree.  Give me Charlie and Dave any day.

if they do, they only have themselves to blame.  you can't lose two out of three to the o's to close out the season, plus not to mention, collapse in the month of september.  9 game lead to start the month.  that's hilarious.

The Sox have no room to nag. They couldn't even finish off the Birds with 2 outs and no one on base.

But the fans, as heard on TV, were explosive last night.

The Red Sox were one strike away from winning and lost, and the Rays were one strike from losing and they won! :lmao:

OK...is anyone sad to learn that the Red Sox and Braves both choked out of the playoffs? (And why should the Yankees waste Mo on a game that is meaningless to them?)

The Red Sox, Braves and Yankees were all within one out of winning their games ... And lost.

exactly.  that's what's great about baseball.

and it's so imperative for this offseason for us to go out and add a few more pieces.  we are getting really close to being in this kind of race.

I was about to hit the sack over an hour ago and then all the drama started to unfold. Now I'm not even sleepy.

This is like Ramos' walk off homer x10. I know none of these teams were ours but it was just damn amazing/unbelievable. The Rays %to win was ridiculous. The O's actually coming back and beating the Sox (5 outta 7 at that) and the Braves choking! oh wow.

I'm delighted about the Braves bombing out, not so much about the Sox because the Rays are so boring.  But I leave the country in a week and will miss
almost all of the playoffs, so freak it, give 'em the Commish Trophy.

Seeing Papelbon walkoff the field with his head down is classic. Also, watching Francona duck into the clubhouse after the collapse is awesome.

Oh apparently they were the targets of the ire. What can I say; I didn't listen to them tonight.
