I don't know if anyone caught the piece on ESPN about Steve Bartman. Other than the fact that the film maker (a Red Sox fan) decided to spend 1/3 of the movie talking about the Red Sox (:?) it wasn't bad. I get that there could be some parallels with the Buckner thing but 1/3 of the freaking piece devoted to the Red Sox!? Typical ESPN/Boston move.

So - most disappointing team in 2011 = Red Sox?  Braves?  White Sox also thought they'd be pretty good.  Giants probably thought they'd at least take their division.  But the Red Sox were supposed to win 100 games.

So many people were picking the White Sox in the prediction thread, it was bonkers.

If Dunn was Dunn, they'd probably have won the AL Central... or at least be in the hunt.

But, he was terrabad, and their season sunk.

One of those letters does not belong with the others.

The Red Sox are trying to trade for Bruce Chen to start game 163 on Thursday (if necessary).  I guess he's already cleared waivers?

Yeah, I think he cleared waivers on like the first day waivers happened.

Rios too.

Every game I watched, 10 or so, Rios screwed up at least one play in the field. I really feel that as bad a season as Dunn had, Rios was worse.

They're out by 15 games. I don't think Dunn makes up 15 games. The team seemed to have major issues outside of Dunn as well.

Jose Reyes led off the game with a bunt single and was pulled so he can preserve his lead over Ryan Braun in the batting title race.  Getting killed on Twitter for it.  If Braun goes 3-4, he can overtake him.

a lead off guy with enough confidence in his bunt to be reasonably sure he can get a hit does it and people are pissed? Aren't lead off hitters supposed to get on base?

No, they're pissed, he got one at bat and then called it a day.

 Youk is cool.

You only like him because he sweats a lot.

Perhaps he is cool because he is sweating.  Evaporation is not fiction.
