Alright, heeman!
Restored breathing but she still had weak pulse and was unresponsive.  The emt's brought her back the rest of the way, but I still say I get the :w: for this one.

One of those moments you never forget: Sitting in Logan Circle with my boy eating gelato and playing with the dogs that walked by while the sun was setting. It was a perfect memory.

I'm upgrading my Dish Network HD DVR to one that has  500 hr. of HD recording instead of the current 200 hrs of HD, a better picture, and is all at no charge. The real kicker was I contacted Dish today via their online chat, and the tech appt. is for tomorrow 12-5! For one who is used to NY cable companies taking weeks to schedule, this is my day!!

edit- The tech showed up on the next day, Sunday (Sunday!!) at the scheduled time, installed the new DVR, made sure I was up-to-date on the changes, and inspected my outside wiring, which resulted in him changing a number of splitters that were rusted. All this for the grand charge of zero! (I did tip him, though.) I am really impressed.

I love my new job. Everyone is nice to me. I have friends there. They act like my opinion matters. I am paid commensurate with education and experience. The cafeteria has good food. They are putting me in chargee of very long term projects.

Unsurprisingly, ny health has improved markedly.

Took my boy to see his classroom today. He's starting preschool tomorrow so he met his teachers and some other kids today. We had to drag him out  He turned three in Oct. so he's one of, if not the, oldest kids in his class and I'll be willing to bet, the biggest too. He's just going on Fridays for now, but that will give me about 3 hours on one of my days off to do what ever I want. Sounds selfish, but I'm not gonna lie, I'm looking forward to it.

It's a beautiful late fall day out.

I had a good review at work yesterday, which helps since I was feeling a bit burnt out.

We've got a hockey game tonight.

I've got a great husband and four awesome cats.

Life is good.  :D

I feel so much like Dean Martin right now for delivering that line, I think I'm grabbing a drink at the CCSP this evening.

Well, I ended up not getting into the police force this go around, so I decided to apply for the Virginia Air National Guard. Passed everything and just picked my job today. Getting sworn in next week @ some point and I can't wait. It should be a good thing for my future.

Nothing in particular today, but for the first time the day didn't suck hard while searching for a job.

I've met some very fine members of the ANG. What field are you aiming for?

Structural: http://www.airforce.com/careers/detail/structural/

I really wanted something to do with security forces (since I still want to get into LE/Corrections), but apparently our fine government is cutting that in half (not sure if its military wide, or just the ANG/Air Force). I qualified for 8 jobs, got it down to 2 and found out when I called to give my decision, that one of the 2 is also being cut. So it came down to this one.

I wanted to pick something that could be put to use in a civilian job and I figured this would work. Also, the $20,000 enlistment bonus helps. :P

I'll be in the 203rd Red Horse SQ out of VA Beach.

With BRAC and the new "mobile footprint" bases or whatever they call them, you will be very busy I think. In a good way.

Congratulations!  Big career move for you, hope it works out.  That looks like a job that will give you skills that will port nicely back into the private sector when you say goodbye.
