Of course it's early, so part of this is tongue-in-cheek, but there's not really a real argument to say "Rosenthal is better than this" or that Dozier isn't permanently cooked like he looked for most of last year. It's possible Rizzo sunk close to $20 million on two non-rosterable players.

Balance out Rendon regression with Soto improvement, and maybe Zimmerman will get off the interstate by May 1.

Dozier worries me more than Rosenthal.  Rosenthal is coming off a year layoff and he still throws 100 with movement, and indeed he looks to be sloooooowly putting pieces into place.   Dozier looks lost.  Tons of swing and miss, tons of pounding the ball into the ground.  Again, SSS, but dude looks way off right now.

Corbin doesn’t count?

Corbin's almost a different category from the short-term fix type signings listed.  Given what they're paying him, he better be good, and he better be good for a while.  But it was odd to exclude him nonetheless.
